This one-story skate park was designed to provide a recreation facility as part of the redevelopment of Albany’s downtown. The design reflects the youth of the sport with its use of industrial materials. The lines of the building reflect the motion of the activity on the skating ramps.
The building contains a retail space, office and public restrooms. Outside,
a colorful canopy system provides shade over spectators on the bleachers as they watch the fun on the skate ramps. |
